It's late fall and the skunk cabbage is all buttoned up and waiting for spring.

Leaving the island on the Last Boat.  When a season starts to wind down, a day on calendars start having a day marked "last boat". Then after a couple of days in town, we start to think about "opening boat".

Heading back to Mott from Malone.  I remember this ride, it was not bad. The waves were just right for a large splash and just far enough apart so if you played the throttle correctly the boat would not bang.
