A October storm. Those that know that rock in the distance, have some idea of how large those waves really were. Cameras never seem to be able to show the actual size of waves.

Second airplane on the island for 2009's winter study. Donnie and Rolf landed with the Flagship first to make sure there was enough ice for the loaded to the gills Beaver. (Aircraft was full of stuff and John, myself and the pilot, weight was nowhere near capacity.)
